This ‘Explore Penrith’ walk is a self-guided tour around the centre of Penrith. The route takes in many of the streets and buildings that make up the rich heritage of this historic market town.
The route has been chosen to make the walk accessible to all, including those with disabilities. It takes about 1½ hours to complete the full tour, but there is ample scope to tailor the route to suite individual preferences.
This guide was compiled and published by the Rotary Club of Penrith with funding assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The route can also be picked up from information signs around town - scanning a QR code will show a smart phone friendly version of the route.
Tip: look above ground floor level to see many old signs or architectural features.
